The last remaining Guardian of Glendon, this man left such a title for the prospect of becoming merely a legend before some plucky, headstrong boy wandered into his world and started causing trouble.

Maddy was once in line to be King; the youngest with four elder sisters. However, there was more afoot within his bloodline, connected to a demigod of Death and Rebirth, he followed the whispers and dreams that pulled him under the castle and into a forgotten crypt where he pilfered a purple blade that seemingly cursed him (and turned his hair magenta) for the rest of his days.

Cursed and wielding the power of Shadowmancy, Maddy quickly ran off, changed his name, and took to a life of adventuring out of sheer fear of rejection from his family. Years would go on, his body unchanging, but slowly mastering his powers and making friends along the way that would eventually get him involved in becoming a Mercenary for a Queen only distantly related. His 'Black Plague' days were bleak and cruel, only changed by the death of a friend would he eventually start a revolution and end the Monarchy alltogether with his friends reigning over Glendon. His duty done, he took to being one of the two Guardians of Glendon, only for the other(a friend of unrequited love) to perish at his hands by accident.

Burdened with his friend's young daughter out of guilt, he raised her to take his place as Guardian, finally setting down his sword to rest after 400 years of fighting. Until now.
