Finnigan, who’s name was chosen for him before leaving for Earth, was one of the few of his species with a lower interest in humans. While the idea of incorporating some of the ideals of earth sound appealing, Finnigan fears that the culture he grew up with is going to disappear for good, or become mangled and muddy. Unrecognizable.
He’s already noticed signs of change, in the behaviors of his coworkers as they stitched new personalities and took on the human forms of strangers they saw. Instead, Finnigan opted not to purposefully change, secretly fearing change, and attempted to make his own human-form look, with large glasses to hide the lack of eyes. Eyeballs….frightened him. How do humans see with those delicate things anyways?
Finnigan’s workplace tasks are typically the small errands asked for by the humans considering The Machine as a normal office-type area. He’s not dedicated to much else other than that, and thankfully so.

- Finnigan’s name was chosen by a member of the council sending him down. He didn’t want to change his name, but in order to have it pronounceable, they picked a human name that sounded similar enough to his homeworld name. He is...fine with it.
- While afraid of changing his society, Finnigan is deeply dedicated to his homeworld, almost blindly so, which is why he is going along with all of this.
- He’s opted not to steal any human stories for his own. He thinks its….wrong almost.
