Laz Nicholson

Laz is a friend of Whiley's- they "met" through a school penpal program when they were kids, and he shows up years later to help Whiley run away from her village. He's from the capital city of the world and very knowledgeable about technology. Personality-wise, he is impatient, crafty, and can come across as rude. He doesn't like animals and tries to avoid being near Whiley's pet sheep.
