Caethro

Caethro was part of a secret tribe of sphynx who had kept away from humans for thousands of years. When he was a teenager, he asked about humans and why they had to hide away. His family told him that humans fear what they don't understand. Caethro shrugged and said "Yea, so? So do we." and left. 

He was met with some fear and lack of understanding and was vilified for a while by people, but after a year or so they got bored of trying to kill him and he integrated into society. He wasn't welcome back to his tribe.
