Background
Amatsu originates from the Asura realm where both good and bad demons reside. Due to him walking the line between the two, he eventually was outcasted due to not conforming to the ways of both houses.
As a child he grew up in the “Yabai” household, which was composed of demons that were not “conventionally” good. However, little did they know that Amatsu’s father fell in love with a demon that came from the “Kirei” household, who were demons that were typically seen as “conventionally” good.
Needless to say, both parents ended up teaching him the qualities that each side viewed as the principles that defined their alignment. In the end, Amatsu adopted principles from both sides that he felt the most content with.
After leaving the Asura realm in his late teens, he traveled to Japan in hopes of finding a place that he could call home. During his travels, he learned how to make various teas which led him to eventually mastering the craft. Along the way he also learned the art of divination as well as learning the magickal arts of protection, astrology, and cultivation.
In the end, his travels led him to mahou temple, which was a sacred place for spirits to teach and help humans in the magickal arts. Amatsu each evening would make tea for all the residents within the temple. One day, one of the masters of the school encouraged him to apply at a tea shop in downtown Harajuku.
Naturally, Amatsu took his advice and applied to the shop which without hesitation, gave him the position. Ever since then, Amatsu became a tea sommelier by day, and a keeper of mahou temple by night.
