lennon was a university student who took advantage of a "study abroad" program their uni offered. they'd been studying in the library when a fellow student came in and began hanging up flyers around the room. curiously, lennon got up and peeked at one of the flyers nearest their table, and after about five minutes of consideration they decided to pack up and head to france for a year. they ended up enrolling in a university there (sorbonne université) and living off the allowance they had been given by the program managers.
unfortunately, after about three months, lennon decided that school wasn't for them and decided to drop out. which was fine, their parents were chill with it and the school didn't mind either. the only problem was, lennon technically wouldn't be able to leave france until they were able to drop out of school back in their hometown (they had to do this in person). and as a safety measure, all the students on the study abroad trip were not allowed to leave the country until the schooling period had ended. so, tl;dr- lennon was fucked.
now, picture this: you've just dropped out of college, you have no way of getting home, and you've got nothing to do to fill your free time. so what do you do? fill the empty void with gallons of coffee < 3!
