A fur trapper whose tongue-in-cheek mannerisms often misrepresent his work ethic. He is rather sociable and often finds himself devoting more of his time traveling than contributing to the fur trade, but he usually rationalizes his irresponsibility as his own form of "innovation," a way to better the business. He is a bit self-absorbed, and his long-term involvement in the trade had built up his persistence—to the chagrin of others.
