Chaff

this is a WIP

chaff grew up in a sweet little town with a sweet little mother, sweet little neighbors, and a sweet little house.

chaff, however, was not very sweet.

prone to picking fights, throwing sticks at birds, and trying his best to always be the one who knows the most. nobody really likes the snotty know-it-all who's never willing to back down from being wrong... and he had the worst intentions with his sweet little neighbor. jealousy runs thick through chaff's veins, always jealous, always wishing for better. his sweet little house was a little too run-down, a little too small, and for some reason, chaff only had a mother, no father to be seen nor heard of. the next door neighbor however, had a big house, a warm family, and a daughter who could do no wrong. so of course chaff made it his mission to figure out how she had it so much better.

ungrateful might be another term for chaff. maybe even obsessive, with how often he watched others (particularly that pesky neighbor). he'd figure out why he was so unlikeable eventually, right?

flash forward quite a few years. chaff is now a member of the local task force, specialising in arbitration. he follows every rule to a T, and won't miss a thing. 'attentive' is another word for chaff. but all those other ones still exist. he's still got a mean streak, and on top of being so jealous as a youngster, now he's full of bitterness. no fun allowed around this stick in the mud; if he could never have fun, then neither can anybody else. watch yourself if chaff is around, because chances are high that he's watching you, too.
