ARMOR REFERENCE

* demigirl (she/they + potentially some neos)
* monster hunter rise + sunbreak protag!
* hunting horn main
* 20 years old
* born-and-bred kamura hunter and proud of it – hunting title is melody of kamura
* rank 116(?) as of 6/26/22!
* goes by cal as a nickname with her closest companions

* main hunting party is comprised of themselves, janice and keokeo!
* gay for janice. oblivious to it until later but Gay.
* the village is her Family... fugen and hojo and hamon are dad/grandpa mans and yomogi + iori + komitsu are Sniblings.... also utsushi is great

* palico, palamute and cohoot in that order are foxglove (they/them), wolf (he/him) and soren (he/him)! she loves all her buddies so much shes a HUGE ANIMAL LOVER
     * wolf wears the nargacuga armor!
* some of her other palamutes are euphoria (she/her), coronet (he/him) and nell (he/him)

* SO EXCITED to be a hunter and start properly fighting for kamura once she'd completed training!!!
    * training was a few years behind janice and keokeo due to her age but she graduated a lot sooner because she was able to pick it up really fast
* very much understands her role as a hunter in the village as a part of survival and the circle of life and all that. she hunts to do her part in protecting her village
* she's an incredibly talented hunter by nature, esp. with hunting horn, but she does have her moments that show her inexperience. do not mistake her stupidity-bravery for a lack of intelligence
* really likes to use the wirebugs to zoom around whenever she can
* a bit of a jokester/sarcastic and can be boastful, but shes a big ol sweetheart underneath that

* can and will approach a cool monster and piss it off though and then run away like a fool
* SHE SOLOED NARWA. IT TOOK HER FOUR CARTS BUT THEY KILLED HER THEMSELVES. janice and keokeo were both asleep/busy at the time and calypso didn't see another choice, so she went after narwa herself. after the battle when all the npcs (including the very very freaked out and worried party) ran up to see what had happened, calypso almost fell into the pit and had to be pulled out by her armor collar. they were promptly carried back to kamura where they got patched up and passed out for a couple days after seeing the maidens' resonance
     * it was during this that janice's feelings for calypso became apparent when cal woke up and noticed janice practically sleeping on top of her, having been keeping an eye on her to see if she was okay. and then calypso finally realized they, too, were also Gay
* zinogre was one of her struggles for a while, but she managed to get past it. magnamalo still sucks though
* she and the rest of the party gave their all against the allmother, and eventually came out victorious. calypso felt a strange kinship with the fight due to her previous dance with narwa, but was still horrified watching the lady take ibushi's life to become the allmother. there was one particular moment where she saw her friends get knocked down; she looked up, saw what resembled a sapphire star, and then everything went purple and white and she felt an immeasurable pain...
* and then she fought valstrax with keokeo and janice!! GOD that was a time. she was honestly really impressed at the beast's strength, but what was even more shocking to her was that some time before that, she was on a hunt for a different monster when she saw the crimson comet, bazelgeuse, and magnamalo all doing battle with each other. in the same area. For Longer Than Thirty Seconds. the first thing she did when she got home was tell everybody else

* eventually, with too much determination, a dash of stupidity, a whole lot of courage and enough time to learn the dance, she was able to solo the allmother herself. cal considers this their proudest achievement as a hunter so far honestly >:3
* right now they're just vibing w the others, waiting for the next big adventure! (though they do need to solo ibushi at some point too.)
