Not Bob is Kurai's pet donkey. Before Not Bob, Sera had a donkey named Bob, who disappeared. Kurai, trying to use his magic to bring back Bob, failed and brought back a mutated donkey instead. Obviously he was not Bob, so he gained the name Not Bob.
