Sand worm

Made a couple alien worms

Sand worm, very large, mid length. Unlike most breeds lack bioluminescence. They have thick body armor to protect them from the sun. Sand worms are one of the handful of breeds that spend most of their life on the surface. They have abnormally strong muscles, but lack tongues & due to their jaw shape, can't quite chew, so they just death throttle their prey

They are carnivorous & usually prey on large creatures, their favourites being birds n other flying things. This tends to cause problems with humans passing over their territory as they tend to attack planes & choppers. However they are actually quite docile & on good days quite friendly towards smaller creatures. (If it's large enough to eat it's in hot water, this means anything larger than 10ft, or weighs at least one ton)

Their bodies are primarily browns/tans/& yellows to mimic their dusty habitat. Along with blues & greens on their chest.
