Yamada is a Hokkaido Inu and a University transfer student from Japan. He's studying Criminology and after learning about Fidel and Cincinnati's search he is eager to help them even though they constantly push him away and warn him that it's too dangerous.
He's in a secret relationship with Toshiro (Scottish Fold), his roommate back in Japan.
