Personality: Leigh has learned to be subservient, it's just the easiest way. Not being physically strong or imposing, he knows that trying to fight back or struggle just ends up with him getting hurt and forced to do what was asked of him, so it's much easier to skip the initial pain and do what people demand of him. He's happiest when left alone to tinker with machines and tools, ranging from smaller handheld devices up to small spaceships.
Profession: Slave, as an Engineer, Leigh is tasked with keeping his Master's ship and equipment in optimal condition.
Hobbies: Engineering. It's all he knows, but that's because he enjoys it. Taking something apart to understand how it works would count as a good night in for him.

History: Sandril-Xa was attacked by a warior race called the Glax. Tenrecs only had basic weapons for protection because they were a peaceful people. When the Glax attacked, as a young teen Leigh was taken as a slave capable of work, and immediately sent into one of the many planetary mines, to live out a short, painful existence making money for his new masters until he became injured, too tired, or otherwise no longer worth the expense of keeping alive. And while escape didn't come in the way he had hoped, Leigh was thankful for it. He doesn't know the exact story behind it, Degor never told him, but part way through one of his shifts he was called to see the foreman before being immediately sent to one of the ships that was there. It was there that he met his new master, and was informed of his new role as slave and engineer. And while he didn't like half of that job title, it was better than working in the mines, and he was surrounded by technology again! The only downside is that on the two person ship he also has to serve as the on-board entertainment for Degor, in whatever form he so desires.

After working with him for so long, Leigh has earned enough trust that he now gets sent on errands for his master, fetching goods and other items from planets in order to keep them flying through space, even granting him some free time during these visits if he has been particularly good. While technically Leigh could attempt to escape during one of these visits, he knows better than to try. Tenrecs are rare enough as it is, so it's not like he could hide very well, and if he was recaptured he could be killed, or sent back to the mine. Besides, being able to fly around the galaxy, working on all sorts of fancy weapons tech, it's almost everything he could have wished for! And while Degor can be rough sometimes, Leigh doesn't exactly dislike the attention he receives.
