Anatole is a strange person. Speaking clearly and pleasantly on things that seem completely impossible even by Everveil standards, Anatole would be considered a journalistic disgrace were it not for the fact that, due to his dual parentage in Unreality and Deception, he can make those claims true simply by reporting them. Their powers allow them to see all that is not, to be completely aware of Unreality- and, if they so choose, to make it Real- and as such, they use the negative space around what is Not to report on what Is. These efforts are countered, however, by Everveil's liminal properties, which can muddy the waters between truth and untruth. 

While Anatole does try his hardest to be accurate in his reporting, outside of such he makes no effort to discern between his lies and his truths- though it should be said that the untruths are never personal in nature, only about news events that may or may not have happened too far away and too long ago to bring pain upon their falsehood.

Anatole is somewhat of a hopeless romantic- their important-news-interrupting monologues often involve grand visions of romance, anywhere from salacious dates by starlight to ridiculously saccharine movie dates- though all are, of course, safe for radio(can't get their funding restricted after all~!). 

Powers: 

- Shoggoth Sorcery- as a Shoggoth- a child of one or more elder gods- Anatole has a variety of powers derived from their parents. Anatole is unique in that they have two Eldritch parents rather than one- The Luring Maw and What Once Wasn't. Anatole can see all of Unreality- a combination of deception and unreality causing him to see not all that is, but all that isn't. This power functions much like a memory bank- and, by "remembering" everything that an object or place isn't, he can get a good idea of what it is. This power manifests in the form of glowing "eyes" opening around them. Their Luring Maw heritage also allows them to summon tentacles from their "tattoos".

- Witching Hour- Anatole's specific Faerie nature makes him a master of innate spell casting. They can use enchantment magic to give people Gifts- minor blessings that can give folks anywhere from better luck to a guaranteed victory in gambling. He can also cast curses on those who invoke his ire- these curses make the afflicted the target of widespread rage for 8 days, with a sun design burned into their cheek or chest.

- Cat's Curse- Anatole is a Cat Sith- there is a white spot on his chest right above his heart. Anatole can take the soul of anyone who, accidentally or otherwise, offers it to them, and can then store the souls in any container enchanted to house them. As well, Anatole can transform into a cat made entirely of shadows.
