Human Death Cleric for a Western one-shot. AU version of a character from a dream. Passes self off as a kindly cleric, but was actually corrupted some time ago by some unknown evil spirit. Used to be a leader (not by choice) of a small, raggedy group of settlers searching for a new home after their old place had been destroyed. Now travelling around focused on maintaining money, power, and safety while trying to keep his amiable cover.
Original version has a similar vibe, but is from a modern post-apoc world instead.
