Vanillaleaf.
She kills someone.
Who? Someone abusive. I don't think she kills Littledove, but… she kills some bad person from ShadowClan. They are, of course, unhappy. Call her out at the gathering literally the day after. She isn't at the gathering.
Fallensnow instantly kicks in to Bounce Man. (it's a song, it relates to them, just look up the lyrics). She bounces, man. Gets scented by a ThunderClan patrol maybe a week later, Hazelstar goes to investigate by himself one day because no one else can seem to find her. He does, she viciously defends herself, insisting she killed a bad cat, and he goes "whoa I'm not here to hurt you" and they talk. He likes her. Says he can't just invite her into his clan, at least not yet, but she's welcome to stay where she is, just off their territory.
After gathering intel about how the clan feels about her, he decides they are on her side enough for him to reveal what's been going on. He offers her a place in the clan, they accept her with open arms. They're definitely more equipped to fight ShadowClan than SkyClan is, if it comes to that, but they plan on hiding her regardless.
This… works. Crowstar eventually mans up and apologizes for wanting blood, because she's come to realize why Vanillaleaf did it. SkyClan says it's too little too late, she's gone. Hazelstar says nothing. Most of SkyClan is aware by this point that Vanillaleaf is not gone, but Hazelstar is hesitant and wants to iron out details.
He confirms with SkyClan that Vanillaleaf is at home in ThunderClan, and while she gets homesick a lot, she's now in love with Hazelstar and wouldn't leave for the world. So she comes to the next gathering, where Hazelstar announces she's being sheltered by ThunderClan after "they found her a week ago." Crowstar is shocked and more than a little suspicious, but it doesn't matter. She personally thanks Vanillaleaf and everyone moves on.
