Dex the Starman

Dex the Starman is a being made of gas, hydrogen, and helium, born the way any star would and is technically on a scale not even of a red dwarf star.

Initially born as a normal star, a collision of a shooting star with the wish of a young child's wish for their doll to "become a real, living human being" caused Dex to mutate into a half human, half star creation. Initially drifting in deep space, unconscious in a deep sleep, eventually landing on Earth one day when he finally woke up. He knows not of who he is, nor of what he represents, to which he dubs himself Dex as a name because it sounded nice. He is looked at as strange, unhuman, but still human at the same time, people don't know what to make of him other than his appearance. He observes human kind with wide eyes, learning of how society works. After the sun has set over his first day of awakening and star gazing in an empty park, the stars remind him of comfortness, nostalgia, somewhere he can call home. After more gazing, he then comes to the realization he is a sentient star, imbued with life and blessed with a human body resembling his original form. With the newfound knowledge, he dubs himself a "starman", and yearns one day to explore the vast depths of space like he originally was a part of.
