Licorice (toon Bendy)

Licorice, formerly Edward Kinney, was created as a backup Bendy for Joey Drew's plans with the studio.

This code uses bootstrap colours and will adjust to any of Toyhouse's themes.

Housing the souls of both Edward Kinney and a demon known as Seere, Licorice was created to be a stunt double for Miracle in “Bendy and Friends”, mostly to do the episodes that Miracle didn’t find too appealing to perform ---- but he was certainly happy to perform, especially with close friends.

Of course, perhaps that was because Licorice was still Edward, through and through ---- seen as a better person than he was in life, adored by most rather than few, and such a desire for approval and love led him to keeping his true identity a secret.

After the third season and its resulting hiatus, Licorice was brought on to be the “full-time” Bendy, thus leading into lighter adventures. The darker themes were washed away, and the more human devil darling was ushered onto the stage.

It was during season seven that things began to go under. Boris’s mysterious disappearance led into Licorice investigating, only to find Joey Drew to be the culprit.

It didn’t take long for him to kill Joey.

The resulting massacre, however, transformed him into a monster.

Trivia

• Licorice retains his knowledge of life as Edward Kinney; however, he vastly prefers being "Licorice".
• As a result of his circumstances, he knows which humans were forced to become toons later on.
