The “complete” fusion of Edward and Seere’s souls, it’s hard to tell where one ends and the other begins ---- especially during the first few years, where Blight was desperate, afraid, alone, and lashed out as a result of it. The corruption forced everyone to withdraw, moreso than the knowledge that their dear friend Licorice had killed everyone and become a monster, but with his blindness, it was hard to tell.

Not quite understanding his corruption at first, he attempted to woo Alice Angel for the sake of having a companion. However, after being rebuffed several times, he attempted to caress her cheek ---- only to hear her piercing screams as the corruption deformed her face.

With that, he withdrew, leaving everyone in the studio to deteriorate further in his absence as he worked to control the deadly corruption. During the next few years, he began to eat souls, using their energies to help him grow more powerful, along with figuring out the powers he’d been both blessed and cursed with.

By the time he’d exited his self-imposed exile, it was already too late ---- he was known as the “Ink Demon”, blamed for the suffering of the studio and considered the greatest threat. With nobody on his side, he embraced it all. Title, condemnation, and damnation.

Perhaps he would have been truly damned if one person didn’t enter his life.

An orphan named Lydia Tristen entered the studio, piquing Blight’s interest just as much as he’d struck hers. The two entered an odd friendship that lasted several years, before she was found dead at Alice Angel’s feet ---- framed by Miracle. That mere act, as well as Alice stealing away the newborn toon that had Lydia’s soul, led Blight to become more hostile with the angel.

Angry with his creator for abandoning him, he makes his home in the large ink machine at the bottom of the studio. Cold, cruel, bitter, he doesn't know why Henry is here...

Nor does he know what the Seraph is planning.

HAMMERSPACE : His entire body

CORRUPTION : This odd ability was first unable to be controlled after the massacre, but was eased into control after time and a few consumed souls. Blight has an aura of corruption around him that, unchecked, can destroy soulless ink creatures around him and burn those with souls. He can also focus this corruption into his hands and deliver harsh physical burns where he touches. He can also corrupt soulless ink creatures into serving him when he has control.

INK PORTALS : Blight can create portals that allow him to traverse the studio quickly.

DISCOUNT LICORICE : This is a secondary form that Blight can take, although the transformation is a painful one; as the name implies, this form looks similar enough to Licorice, except constantly dripping ink and having a permanent grin. Additionally, Blight cannot remove his gloves or split his head open in this form like normal Licorice can.

VORTEX OF TEETH : Hidden behind his permagrin is a void filled with nothing but extremely sharp teeth. Blight can destroy most objects with this "vortex", including rocks.

INK MANIPULATION : Blight is able to manipulate ink and create with it; indeed, he is even able to imbue it with a "simulated" life, although sentience is out of the question.

MASKED FEATURES : By default, Blight's face is covered in a layer of ink that blinds him and gives him the appearance of a permanent grin; he can remove these by hand to reveal his many eyes and the vortex of teeth, but has to splash ink on his face to cover these features again.

WINGS : Unlike Licorice, Blight has a pair of large wings that he can use to soar up longer vertical passageways in the studio.

INK WEAPONS : With the ability of ink manipulation, Blight can create weapons made out of ink, but are just as painful as their real counterparts. His weapon of choice in the studio is a scythe, but only in extreme emergencies.

DECAY is a form that only comes about with the destruction of the human soul within Blight ---- that is, destroying Edward Kinney's soul and allowing the demon's to have full control.

He stands at 20 feet tall, but tends to crawl in order to move quickly, like a reptile. His tail ungrafted also results in destruction wherever he goes. He has numerous extra arms, most of which are useless, but at least one pair are human-like and rotting.

The left side of his face comprises of many, many eyes close together, using inky eyelids in order to blink. The right side has the vortex of teeth entirely revealed, a void in which being torn apart is the only end in sight.
