Zane remembered what life was like before becoming a dead pirate captain. It was glorious well to him, some of the other lions and hyena’s and the ones he’s ferried has said otherwise. But once he learned that there was no way to break his deadly curse, he soon accepted his new fate. He would sometimes scare the wretched souls that landed on his ship, others he put in high ranking positions even if they thought he hated their guts like Chafya. Surprisingly he likes that blubbering blue lion a lot. Well sometimes, the other times it’s because the crew had done something to work Chafya up and all that worrying can drive the hyena up the wall. That’s why he regrets not living life to the fullest and getting himself stuck in this position.

Zane misses robbing graves, and truth be told wishes he could go on shore more than once every few months per year. He wishes he could terrorize those creatures whose cursed him to be this way and for sticking him with a lousy crew half of the time. Ferrying dead souls isn’t really Zane’s style and it’s kind of obvious with the way he acts. But hey at least he is constantly fresh due to bathing in salt water in his version of Davy Jones locker.
