Background: When she was a young child, her family was massacred leaving her orphaned and alone. A xaela au ra woman found her and took her into her own family. She didn't want to leave Zhani to the wilderness. Her heart stretched to the small child.
Growing up, she had a brother named Norishige, whom she developed a close bond with. In the land where the family, of now four dwelled, there was always in some state of conflict. Zhani saw many things that she would've been unlikely to witness if she had lived in the land of the Raen. Saw how people dealt with strife. Yet deep down she would never lose her true nature that was passed on to her by her birth family. The caring kindness for all that is, would never leave her heart no matter what she got herself into.
Her home was filled with many people who were adept in the ways of the disciples of war. All of which she herself never felt too inclined to pick up. The day she came of age, after her brother Norishige left for his own path, she set out to see what the disciples of magic could teach her.
The first place she sought out magic was in Ul'dah, after such a long journey to get there. She learned the ways of black magic and destruction. It felt normal to her as she grew up around vaguely similar things. Eventually she would find other types of magic, that would heal others and lend them a more helping hand.
