Urllochar

(Multiclass: Champion Fighter 3, Zealot Barbarian ?)

Since he was old enough to hold a weapon, Urllochar has served both his House and the Spider Queen. Born to an especially devout priestess of Lolth, even his name is an invocation, meaning crimson spider. Like his mother, Urllochar is fanatical in his devotion, and like his father, possesses impressive martial prowess and single-minded intensity... but strikingly little in the way of personal ambition. Urllochar can be cunning when he wishes it, but for the most part, he's not the sharpest knife and seems content to serve the House's Matron and her goals, which suits the rest of his family's needs just fine.

While the primary worship of any deity above Lolth would be unthinkable, Urllochar pays his devotion to Her through the minor god Selvetarm, a practice he learned from his father, who originally hailed from a long-extinct city far from Menzoberranzan where his worship was more common. Few drow worship alive today Selvetarm in his own right — indeed, even Urllochar simply makes offerings to him for strength and ferocity in battle, for the Spider Queen's glory rather than her Champion's.

Among other male drow, Urllochar is cocky and irreverent, but a dutiful soldier when called upon by the head of his House. Matron Myrhael, Urllochar's grandmother, makes frequent use of adventurers from the surface in her dealings. Urllochar therefore has more neutral or positive dealings with non-drow than most, guiding, guarding or keeping an eye on them while they're under the Matron's employ. He knows little of other cultures, however, and tends to project his own societal norms onto others, assuming that women in most adventuring parties will outrank the men, and clerics will outrank literally everyone else.
