Peter was an electrician who got sent to Earth to make sure the Prime Kindergarten remained functional during the war to continue the experiments and the maintenance of the Cluster, but when the Diamonds sent out their corruption pulse she was stuck underground for a few hundred years. When Peter finally emerged she refused to return to working for Homeworld after having experienced some freedom. She also didn’t give two flips about the Crystal Gems and their mission and set out with the group she had been stuck with to take on the galaxy.
