“You bore me.”

Faustus

Faust is generally apathetic about anything that does not catch his interest. His responses are limited to only two reactions: apathy and maniacal. There is no in-between when it comes to this little vampire. He has a habit of mumbling his thoughts, coupled with philosophic and substantive remarks, to himself.

He is a child full of evil.

Trivia

  • Voice Claim - Paul (Trouble with Sophie)

  • He doesn't have any kind of filter. The first thing that comes to mind is the first thing that gets expressed.

  • His taste in food is very bland. Raw meat, toasted wheat bread, and burnt rice are a few examples.

  • Due to his overgrown fangs, his smiles are exceedingly off-putting and scary. They're lopsided smiles that showcase his creepy pearly whites.

  • Regarding his fangs, he has a very nasty habit of biting things due to them being overgrown. He bites at his food, smaller animals, batteries, and even the back of his hand. His father began wearing down his fangs with a file when Faust's teacher informed him that the children at his school (including his brother) were being on the receiving end of his biting.

  • He is particularly interested in epidemiology and is captivated by learning about the various diseases and illnesses that exist, as well as how to create and treat them. The tragic story of The Black Plague is etched in his mind, and he wonders if it may ever happen again. But by his own hands this time.

  • He has a horrible tendency of killing his pets. He uses them as test subjects for his experiments, subjecting them to diseases, infections, and various illnesses. He's made attempts at making Edgar one of his test subjects, but the raven only tries to peck his eyes out in return.

  • The gem on his cravat was created by him personally to protect himself from disease and illness. With it, he is incapable of getting sick by any means.

  • He frequently feels the hands of an entity scratching across his torso. Leaving dark, red scars in its wake. This entity being his grandfather's possession.

  • He has a god complex.

  • He behaves in an abhorrently violent manner. Things such as placing spiders in the hair of his classmates, forcing his younger brother to eat tacks, or strapping firecrackers on animals to watch them explode.

Childhood

Monsieur and Madam de Réan's marriage was said to have been fraught with difficulties. One of them was cheating, and Monsieur had sensed his wife wasn't as faithful as he had imagined. Aldrich, their butler, was the one to confirm this suspicion, alleging Madam had tried to bed him several times. An altercation between the married couple erupted and Madam accused Aldrich of lying, resulting in his dismissal from his employment. Several such occurrences compelled Monsieur to assume - yet again - that his wife wasn't being loyal to him. His wife had began arriving home late smelling like another man's cologne. She had also tended to use her phone more frequently than before and guarded it as if her life depended on it whenever Monsieur came around. Madam slowly became exceedingly cold towards her spouse, showing no interest in him and seldomly ever having intimacy or sharing affection with him. Whenever he mentioned anything of the sort, his wife became enraged and accused him of being deranged or deluded. This ate at the man's soul till he couldn't take it any longer and Monsieur contacted an acquaintance by the name Vincent to prove his theory once and for all. If everything was true and his wife was nothing but a cheating brute, Monsieur wanted Vincent to give Madam the worst agonizing death the cloaked man could think of. To torture her slowly and without mercy. Granted, Vincent wasn't keen on the idea. The whole ordeal sounded unworthy of his time. But with Monsieur's desperation and the thousands of shiny benjamins to persuade him otherwise, Vincent agreed.

Monsieur's suspicions were confirmed when Madam did indeed fall for Vincent's superficial charm. The cloaked man had seduced the woman up to a shed where Monsieur was there to meet them both. Madam was then gagged and tied to a chair where Vincent proceeded to abuse her on the behalf of her husband's orders. She was tortured accordingly - Monsieur was giving orders to Vincent on what to do and how to make her suffer. There, she was forced to admit of her adultery with a man she fell in love with, along with other play toys she had infatuated herself to. It made Monsieur sick to his stomach hearing such things. He demanded the most macabre things be done to her as a result to the sins she's committed.

During her final breaths, Madam revealed to being eight months pregnant by another man before collapsing into a cold, merciless sleep. Monsieur and Vincent were both taken aback and looked at each other; Monsieur apprehensive and Vincent apathetic. The cloaked man inspected the wife and proceeded to slice open the woman's stomach. There, he found life inside of her.

It was a baby vampire, healthy and still alive. Vincent removed it from Madam and presented the newborn to him. But Monsieur held no interest in caring for a baby that wasn't his, especially when he already had two children of his own. Taking care of a baby while managing his own responsibilities alone would be foolish for him. He determined it was in the infant's better position to die, and he gave Vincent the order to kill it. The shrouded man hesitated before speaking forward and volunteered to keep the baby for himself. Monsieur tilted his head in response, completely confused. Vincent announced to Monsieur that he and his husband were ready to start a family and had been discussing the topic of having children for awhile. He wanted to become a father, but he wasn't sure if it was the greatest decision for him to experience parenthood given his occupation. But Vincent saw the infant in his arms as a sign, and he was going to take it.

Monsieur merely shrugged and allowed Vincent to take custody of the baby. When asked what he planned to call it, Vincent replied,

"Faustus."
