A Welsh red dragon who has taken over a decrepit stone tower deep in the woods. Known in his youth as the Red Dread, Coinneach was previously a fearsome young wyrm who raided numerous villages in search of a hoard, until one too many attacks lead locals to revolt and fight back. Near-death, Coinneach fled deep into the mountains and cached himself away in an abandoned wizard's tower to heal the worst of his injuries. While recovering, he dicovered an undying interest in magic-touched items and oddities among the wizard's discarded collection, which remains with him to this day. Now, decades of hoarding has accumulated alchemy supplies, mountains of books, oddities, and secretive arcane knowledge that Coinneach is fiercely protective of. Only the bravest and most knowledgable of explorers can ever possibly bribe him into exchanging or selling any of his hoard- but it's certainly a far better fate than those of hoard-thieves, who are dealt with quickly and without mercy.
