Profile
Although not the first console, let alone the first one to use interchangeable cartridges, the Atari 2600 was extremely popular during its generation. In order to help drive this popularity, Stella was hired as a delivery and salesman for the console. Hailing from New Mexico, they travelled throughout the country in order to get people interested in the next generation of gaming.
Originally beginning their career as an amateur programmer trained by Odysseus, Stella quickly got used to life on the road and enjoyed the solitude it brought. Their confidence and gentle charisma helped get people on-board with the console and they became an icon almost overnight. (After all, they look pretty distinct... Especially with that Stetson and long, curly hair.)
After the Crash of ‘83, Stella rebounded quickly, albeit with less sales than before. They’re still iconic to this day, along with their console, but you’re most likely to find them today in the pool of whatever sleazy motel they’ve stopped at for the night. (They don’t like those cheap recreations of the real console, too...)
