“This store resembles a movie set more than a retail space. Theatrical lighting and day-glow colors combine with burnished steel to create an interior design based on the helm of a postulated 23rd-century starship. The store is divided into five areas: “Byte Size Zone,” “Random Access Zone,” “Data Base,” “Tradeport,” and “Buffer Zone.” Shown is the “Random Access Zone” including 28 computer workstations created for children ages 7 to I 4.The space show-cases a unique trussing infrastructure, hovering sound domes, and punched metal backlit baseboards.”
