  • The reasoning behind the planet's reddish-orange snow is a mixture of naturally found bacteria and terraforming to mimic Holy Mars, despite the radically different climate.
  • Yes, the system has twenty six planets, mostly thanks to the system's total of three suns. Marzanna-XXVI is the most habitable due to it's distance, but still dangerously cold.

Local Adeptus Mechanicus

• As most Forgeworlds have their unique designs for armour and equipment, so does Marzanna-XXVI, focusing around Red and Iron or Lead colourations similar to Mars. However, there is the important addition of a type of Native Camouflage that covers the tops and backs of units.
• Almost Mechanised vehicles are heated, and built to avoid open roofs, helping the longevity and comfort of those inside.
• The two thirds of planet is entirely dedicated to the production of some of the most effective coolant known to the Imperium, and the means to transport and use such Endothermic Liquids. It is thoroughly believed that the production of this coolant is the actual reason behind the planet's frozen status, with Xenoarchaeological studies suggest the world used to be a rainforest world with a vast ocean.

Notable Figures from Marzanna-XXVI

• Fabricator-General Daederramo-XXVI | The highest ranking member of the planet's technological-clergy, Daederramo-XXVI's careful management of the planet over the past five thousand years has ensured it's continued safe existence through the ever-freezing conditions. What is notable is that during their early years as Fabricator-General, it was common for Daederramo-XXVI to continue their work as a planet-side protector from incursions and rogue machines, though this was forced to stop due to a present power struggle and being almost killed during an attempted ??? Invasion that resulted in heavy bioaugmentation. In recent years however, it seems the Fabricator-General is returning to these early behaviours; Believing they have a smaller form, referencing Vox-Media from almost four thousand years ago, and frequently leaving for the frozen plains to try and hunt whatever they can before they are eventually recovered by their personal guard. Please note, the XXVI only refers to the planet as a symbolic gesture, they are only the third of their name.
• Dominus Weller-13.1.14 | Heading efforts to shatter any ice that forms inside of the Frozen Oceans and Machines of the furthest North, Weller-13.1.14 has found their position solidified through decades of dedicated service. However, what is arguably the most impressive title they carry is as a naval hunter, killing numerous Cryophage Whales that threatened the purity of the coolant oceans, with reports suggesting that the only reason said whales continue to exist is through interventions by the Ordos Xenos and a number of Genetors who believe they can have a greater purpose to the Imperium, especially considering the conditions they have survived for goodness knows how long. It's fondly believed that if this request was to falter, the Cryophage Whales would quickly go extinct by the hand of Dominus Weller-13.1.14.

• Enginseer Tal'vio-19/300 | One of the highest ranking Enginseers present on Marzanna-XXVI, Tal'vio-19/300's experiences have proved vital in the upkeep of the Thermo-sensitive materials and technology used in numerous vehicles, many of which are steadily being rediscovered within the frozen wastes of the world. They are usually seen carrying an archeotech carrying case of unknown contents, but what is stranger is that reported Tal'vio-19/300 has seemed to partake in bizarre conversations with the case involving information the Enginseer shouldn't know of. An attempt to find what was inside was undertaken by two Inquisitors, both have failed to appear to Marzanna-XXVI due to apparently unrelated incidents.

Notable Fauna of Marzanna-XXVI

• Cryophage Whales - Nearly extinct due to their tenuous and frankly forgiving relationship with the Adeptus Mechanicus present on this frozen world, these Whales survive by absorbing the chemicals in the oceans, and the cold they promptly generate. While normally passive, when met with anything that could be considered foreign or a threat within their well-watched territory, they will fall into a violent rage, often including vital pipelines or surveyor teams.
