Darwin and his brother, Nestor, are both going to be trained as apprentices by Paragonclan but basically end up being wandering males who bring new warriors to the clan. They'll be tolerated by Oripendularstar because they're basically just providing more strength to the clan (by breeding with their mollies and by bringing in injured cats and so on) than they're taking away by hunting on the very edges of the territory. They're considered members of the clan and the exchange for being allowed to keep living on clan territory and get protected if their land is attacked is htat they join in defending the clan. They consider this a fair deal.
