Squonky

Squonks are native to the Hemlock forest of Northern Pennsylvania, USA.
They are notoriously impossible to keep as pets and are famous for their ability to self destruct/decompose on the spot. They do this when incredibly stressed or sad, which they they are very often.
Squonks, unlike other animals, seem to have the ability to feel ashamed about their appearance.
 Squonks are almost famously deemed the ugliest cryptid on the planet, but even without knowing that title, they seem to feel highly self-conscious about how they look. They sometimes have trouble reproducing and finding mates because of it, despite unconditional love and making the other feel pretty being a huge part of the courting process.
It is also believed squonks cry because of how bad they feel about themselves, however, this myth is false. Squonks DO seem to produce an excess amount of eye fluid that dribbles down their cheeks, but this is not because they're sad. It is actually a function they developed to keep their eyes clean from bacteria. In the wild, They house a lot of harmful bacteria so sensitive organs like the eyes and intestines need to be rinsed out regularly.
Squonks also are very likely to become blind with age.

Squonks are also a chimera major, meaning they as a species exist out of more than 2 unrelated species. Squonks are a mix of pigs, toads, dogs and frogs. This gives them a slimy exterior, but a more mammal interior. Squonks only have webbed feet on the left and only paws on the right.
