Fredrick

A 26 year old man from San Diego, America. Rather young for the profession he's chosen but his charming charisma and quick reflexes help him get pretty far.

Uses the alias Michael Torres at RED. Writes back monthly letters to his family, posing as a scout so Jason doesn't worry.

Life ends prematurely when he's killed by a traitor on the team after catching them selling team secrets to Grey Mann. Respawn was purposefully soft locked when he was killed, resulting in him staying dead.

A young man from the outer edges of San Diego. The second youngest of four siblings, 2 brothers and one sister. Most of his early life was spent in poverty along with his Mother, uncle and father, who left before Jason was born. Had dreams of becoming a baseball star growing up but finding avenues to escape poverty just out of reach before RED came knocking. Shares the same father with Jason while the first two siblings shared another. His early summers were spent split between staying with his father's family in Tijuana and his mother's in San Diego.

The first few years of his life were fairly uneventful. He doesn't recall much, except for a few outings with his father who he looked up to. When Jason came along he was immediately very attached to his younger brother, more so after their father left. Quite enjoys being the responsible older role model, Encouraging Jason's artistic endeavours while the younger of the two encouraged his talents with baseball. Very promising academically speaking too, having excelled at several classes during his time in education. All his efforts were focused on getting a decent job to help with their family's poor living conditions. He worked multiple jobs during his youth, often helping out with a family friend's garage alongside his studies.

He's approached by RED due to his promising results and while initially sought out to be a replacement scout, his talents and skills instead qualify him to be the RED's new spy. Jason is left distraught by his departure but is comforted by the letters that Fredrick writes home bi-monthly. He pretends to be the team's scout to him as a way to make it look less dangerous than it was to his younger brother. He also doesn't tell him that he goes under the Alias Michael Torres while employed with RED.

He is quite well acquainted with most of the team during his time there, usually spending down time with the team's soldier or medic. The only people he prefers to avoid are the pyro and heavy. He's good at matching the mood of those he's with and will tone down his personality and opinions to prevent conflict (or ease information out of them if needed.) However, sometime he may become extremely opinionated and his young age will show, unable to tolerate injustice or selfishness. He can become fairly stressed out at times, especially regarding his brother hence why he takes up smoking. Also has a very unfortunate bad drinking habit which flares up considerably during his time at RED.

He is killed when he catches the team's Demoman (Damian.) selling team secrets to Gray mann. He made the mistake of attempting to reason with him first, allowing the other time to soft lock the team's respawn system and rendering him permanently dead after being killed. Only his dog tags were recovered and sent back home.

But to summarise, in the au where Fredrick isn't killed, he's merely injured and loses the use of his right eye. He eventually becomes quite involved with the replacement demo, Amelia.]
