A promise.

In a life not too different from this, Thảo had the same string of events. A broken home, a broken relationship, with a broken man just like the past, he let it be as a part of him was afraid of wishing for something more. 

"I don't really mind..."

He found peace with a nearby flower shop, which all he does is squat and stare at some potted plants until it closed up for the day. He even bought one of those plants home, but, like  most things he owned, it had a short-lived ending from his roommate at the time.

"This time would be different," 

...is what he'd hope for, but he came to terms that things would never change. He took it upon himself to be the one who leaves, since the situation would've continue regardless.

When he ran from home, he went to the flower shop he loves to frequent, and slept outside the doorstep. The shop owner, Bao, knew Thảo didn't mean any harm and let him stay and work at the shop—at least until he was better. 

"If you'll have me..."

It was meant to be a temporary stay, but they've been living together ever since. Thảo would help around the shop, do some cooking, and spent his days watching the sun go down when he sweeps outside the shop. Naturally, it grew into something more and Thảo couldn't really imagine a life without Bao after staying for so long.
