He's a very quiet and shy Koopa, often preferring to stay in the background and not draw attention to himself, though this is tough due to his albinism, his unnatural pale colors seem to be the first things people notice upon entering the room. Pearl is very sensitive to sunlight and has to often do things to prevent his scales from getting sunburnt just so he can roam during the day. He is also deaf, but can read lips decently enough, though there are times that he struggles greatly. Especially if the person he's talking to has no lips. Despite the many draw-backs he has, Pearl certainly doesn't let them getting in the way of things he likes to do, especially racing!
