Troutfin

RiverClan's deputy is a little rough around his edges, but Troutfin always means well. He has his own kind of rugged charm and is a smooth, intelligent talker; an attractive fit for his position of authority that blends pleasantly with his gentle, sincere nature. Troutfin is known for his kind, tender smile just as much as for his strength, physically and emotionally, and his brilliant mind. He's never short of the perfect thing to say and seems to have an incredible sense of calm about him all the time, rarely cracking under pressure. The deputy cares deeply for his clan and for his clanmates' wellbeing, and although he's sweet, he isn't exactly social. Troutfin keeps everything personal about him very separate from his duties, especially his emotions. He's rather reserved and doesn't usually allow anyone else to look after him; he wants to be the one to protect everyone else, and thinks that it's his job. He's especially this way with his work, and many of his clanmates – the apprentices specifically – find that he's extremely stern. Troutfin during training is kind, gentle, and encouraging, but he has a strict policy about always putting forth one's best effort, not being afraid to ask for help, and to have confidence and show respect. His willingness, sometimes seeming more like an obsession, to take on so many duties at once often leads to him overworking himself and, determined and stubborn as he is, exhausting himself completely. He has tendencies of becoming cold and distant while he's dedicated solely to his work, and it's difficult to pull him out of his kind of trance when he becomes this way. RiverClan's deputy acknowledges this as a weakness of his, at least, and personally does his best to be certain he always leaves enough time and energy for the people in his life that he loves the most; especially now that his family has expanded after welcoming his son and daughter into the world. Troutfin is highly proud and protective of his clan, but his mate and their children especially, sometimes to a point of hostility. He wants to dedicate his entire being to making sure his kits have the best possible lives he could give them, and he would sacrifice his life for any one of his clanmates.
