Raziel belongs to a wealthy family who has a history of producing talented magic scholars. He can wield both water and ice magic, but prefers the latter since it is his stronger suit. He has a 'pretty boy' appearance, is affectionate and likes skinship, and is generally a cheerful person. But behind that cute and fresh vibe, there is a powerful but slightly reckless wizard who has a deep eye for beauty. He greatly appreciates beautiful art, architecture and fashion, and is always honest with his opinions about an object's or person's appearance, which makes him both lovable and hateful to women. He is a bit of a neat freak, and often nags at his friends and family to maintain a tidy appearance. Raziel has a bad relationship with his overly traditional paternal grandfather, who is always pushing him to become a high-ranking scholar in the magic tower, and eventually take over as the tower's master. However, he has no plans to do so since he doesn't like the responsibilities and restrictions that comes with it. Raziel believes that his sister, who is just as powerful as him, is better suited for that position, but his grandfather doesn't approve as she's a 'woman'.

The fur piece around Raziel's neck is made from the carcass of a silver fox he often met when he was younger, whenever he went to the nearby forest to train his magic. Through the magic tower, he later found out that the fox was a relic of a divine beast, and as it neared the end of its lifespan, it sought out Raziel to transfer its own mana to him, whose high magic power it was attracted to.
