after a life of ups and downs (though mostly downs), reinhardt has been given a new opportunity through a life in aether harbor. while he finds it hard to hide his steely gaze, and even more difficult to adjust to a life not out to get him at any corner, reinhardt has finally found something that might last. as he's currently studying for his phd, it's common to see him walking around the city, enjoying every day as if his last. it may be a lot of work, but it's all he's ever wanted.

- reinhardt is an amateur mystery novelist on the side of his professional writing career. it’s really safe to say he’s not that good at it as it’s more of a hobby and that he should just stick to his day job.
- reinhardt dislikes modern technology, and uses both a flip phone and a typewriter. more advanced hardware makes it way easier for the government to track him in his eyes.
- olvarnia, the country reinhardt is from, is fictional. it takes inspiration from mostly germanic culture as it was colonized by germany and has only begun to be recognized after WWI. in its earlier history, its population was split between france and germany, and so a majority of the population (including reinhardt) speak french and german.

reinhardt is a frail man with an imposing aura. he typically wears a jaw-clenched expression with blue eyes narrowed by thick eyebrows. he has a wide, thick mustache that brushes over his upper lip. he has dark brown hair that is in need of a trim, with discolored bangs parted unevenly down the middle. a little cowlick comes off of his part. he has a beauty mark under one eye.
clothing. reinhardt typically wears formal clothing. this can range from tweed suit coats to comfortable thick turtlenecks. either way, he always looks overdressed for any occasion.
acessories. reinhardt has a pair of wire-framed, square-shaped glasses. he is typically found wearing suspenders, ties, cravats, vests, or even a book bag.
scars. reinhardt does not have any scars on his body.
health. reinhardt is... in very poor health. while he has more life expectancy than in most canons, and his symptoms are a lot lighter, he is still projected to die in his 30s or 40s. he coughs up blood, is prone to vertigo and even fainting, and even heart palpitations. his legs have gotten so poor that he requires a cane to navigate due to his chronic pain.
