Ariston Daxalim's Links
Ariston’s younger brother and close friend. In their early years Ariston absolutely loathed Vesstan. He was his whipping boy, after all. Of course, 600 years is enough time to change anyone. Not only can neither of them remember their past firsthand, but Bur himself was the key to opening the rift that’d eventually free Ariston from the afterlife. Ever since then, and after learning about their past relationship, Ariston has been trying to keep in close contact with his long lost brother. They get along quite well nowadays, although the major time gap can make things a bit awkward at times. They still try, at least, which is more than most people could ask for when it comes to a sibling relationship.
Bur’s older brother and dear friend. While he can’t remember too much of his past, he did regain the memory of Ariston saving his life from Rasterahz. Sure, Ariston also wound up helping Ras kill him and steal his soul, but Bur was able to forgive him for it. With everything Ras had done to manipulate the both of him Bur knew for a fact he never would have dreamed of doing such a horrid thing on his own. After learning of their blood relation and Bur helping free Ariston from the Afterlife the two have been making an effort to stay in contact, although it can be a bit awkward at times. They’re still figuring out the whole siblings thing.
While Ariston isn’t exactly close with Curtana, the two don’t dislike each other. They only really interact when Bur is involved, as he and Curtana are a couple after all. Occasionally Ariston finds it entertaining to poke fun at the relationship he has with his brother, but it's all in good fun. If it weren’t for that connection, though, the two probably would have never met nor stayed in contact afterwards.
Cutrana isn’t sure how to feel about Ariston. He never got all that close to him during their adventure, and nowadays they only really interact because he’s Bur’s brother and he and Bur are a couple. He’s never been a fan of Ariston’s lack of filter and he doesn’t really appreciate his little jokes about his relationship. Still, he doesn’t hate Ariston. He’s just not the kind of person he’d choose to hand around if given the chance.
Ariston was one of the people directly responsible for Cairo’s ascension to godhood. Like many people, he only met Cairo because of his younger brother. But unlike other people, because of his godhood Ariston and Cairo have made an effort to stay in contact with each other. Their personalities heavily conflict with each other, and Cairo’s closest ally is one of Ariston’s enemies, but the two are able to remain civil because of their shared friendship with Bur. Both hold him very close, and neither of them want to piss him off by causing any trouble.
