Danry Willorin Knotwise

clever • brave • powerful

 Danry was not always as extroverted as he is now, and in fact was quite shy and lonely before coming to Candlekeep. It's thanks to his Pep Pep (great grand-uncle) and his new found friends and family that he truly came into his own. While he is a no-nonsense man most days, he still has a penchant for pranks and jokes. If he considers you a friend, you can bet he'll fight tooth and nail for you.

Running Away

 When Danry began to develop his magical abilities, he was utterly convinced he was a wizard. Performing minor cantrips made him think as much, since it couldn't have possible come from his boring run-of-the-mill hobbit family. He soon kept a book of spells, conveniently of only wizard ritual spells, and practiced in secret from the prying, judging eyes of his family. All expect his younger sister Marigold, and his great grand-uncle Peppermint. Pep Pep, as the kids had taken to calling him, was the real troublemaker and bad influence. He was a retired adventurer, recounting his days traveling and exploring to all who would listen (which usually was just Danry and Marigold).

 At the young age of 41, Danry realized his dreams of magical study and adventure would never come true. He would always be the mediocre son of Bosco Knotwise, doing minor wood carvings for pocket change. That was, until Pep Pep asked him about one day making the trip to Candlekeep. That was a long way from his sleepy town of Greenest, but a spark in him made him take the chance to run away with his great grand-uncle, off to his own adventure.
