Mel works a 9-5 job as a bartender, on the corner of a nasty street. She loves her job, watching patrons enter one after another, deciding if she wanted to meet up with them afterwards or not depending on their appearance and energy. Even though Mel has plenty of close mutuals at the bar, she's really out for herself outside the bar. She would never admit it, but Mel doesn't have many friends when not at work. Mostly just flings and rebounds. 

Relatonships

Her love form is touching, lots and lots of touching. She is very much ruled by her head rather than her heart. Although she knows something is wrong, she will go though with it for the thrill. Melanie is not extremely close with her parents. The one family member she is close with, is her cousin Lonnie. The two live somewhat close by each other. They lived together in Mel's apartment for a little while. Melanie isn't a huge fan of talking to others if she's not getting something from it, such as talking to others simply for friendship. It seems more of a pain than its worth.

Background

Growing up, her parents did what they could for her. She never had much interest in school or even doing anything afterwards. Melanie was more interested in just doing her own thing, which of course, doesn't get you very far. She grew up with Lonnie more like as a sister rather than a cousin, until Melanie moved out, or ran away, into her own run down apartment when she was seventeen.
