You don’t have to look deep into the dark underbelly of Elysium to find its bloody brawling rings and tournaments, so commonplace that even a tourist could find one and enjoy the view of some poor soul getting beaten to death within their first day in the oasis city. Combatants of renown are few in number; in an “anything goes” style of fighting, losing a match often means losing your life, and as such, tournament-goers know the names of every prolific fighter worth a damn, because it’s rare that any fighter even survives more than a few matches. So when a promising fighter does pop up, there’s much speculation: will they eventually get to share the limelight with the few still alive, or will they get gored by an inmate on death row in a few weeks’ time?

Bacardi is new to the underground fighting scene and Elysium, but he’s already amassed a small fortune from what time he’s spent in the ring, and it’s easy to see why: he practically lives to fight. While some find their pleasure in brothels and nightclubs, Bacardi finds his in the middle of the ring, with all eyes on him as he puts his physical prowess to the test. No terms are too risky, and no opponent is too dangerous for him.

Bacardi is a dainty with a history riddled with holes and oddities, and if asked about his past he’ll only give the explanation that he used to be weak. In a world that was seemingly against him at every turn, that weakness became his downfall—and he paid a steep price for it. Because of this, he sees his new lifestyle as a test of sorts: if he can prove he’s strong enough to live, then the life the stars have blessed him with is his to live as he sees fit. And if he can’t utilize his newfound strength?

“If I die in a fight, then it’s what I deserve.”

Bacardi is always looking to improve his strength, and will challenge anyone to a fight if he thinks he can learn something from it or test himself. He’s bullheaded and usually won’t take no for an answer when he challenges someone, although he does have some morals: if he’s at an obvious advantage or if his opponent begs for their life, he’ll usually stop as long as they concede, and anyone that manages to beat him one-on-one usually finds that they now have a new friend, even if it’s not quite what they had in mind…

Although fighting suits Bacardi’s rowdy nature the most, he’s also a glutton for satisfying his base desires, and has a thirst and libido to rival the meanest demon’s...he deserves it, is his reasoning; so far he’s been doing a pretty damn good job of keeping himself strong, so if he wants to indulge in a little sex and alcohol, who are the stars to deprive him of that? If he’s not fighting, you’ll likely see him clubbing with Alize and Asphodel, but watch out…

...He’ll still try and pick a fight if you look strong, even if he’s in a nightclub.
