has major depression. fears they might have become psychotic because something has been talking to them in their dreams. it gives them cryptic info and or things to do. like: "8440 hours until the end. follow my instructions"
8440 hours = 351 days and 16 hours, but the heck does the end mean?? the end of what? her life? the world? it could be anything. they decide it was just a dream and that they should forget about it.
around 2 weeks later the voice in their dreams instructs them "to help the man in red". they decide to research about the man in red, but find nothing concreet. a couple days later while going to their job, they see a guy in a red windbreaker. he's asking around for directions, but sylvia decides that others will help him, and that getting to work is more important. that night the voice in her dreams tells them "you didn't help the man in red, you lost 547 hours until the end. follow my instructions."
