Despite having a cushy life in the interior and a job he could have walked right into, Norino idolised the scouts and knew he wanted to join as soon as he could. He was amongst the top in his class but is completely reckless, charging ahead with little thought for his own safety. He loves using the ODM gear, flying as high as he can. He clashes with Levi a lot, but knows he couldn't beat him, so begrudgingly backs down every time. He gets along with Hange, being almost as mad as them. Things are often tense between him, Jean, Eren and Floch, they can work well on the battlefield together, but their personalities clash. Very friendly with Historia, especially after she becomes Queen, but was always wary of Ymir. 

He has had many flings, but will almost certainly never settle down.
