Wulf is brave and takes his job seriously, despite all the female attention trying to distract him. He leaves a string of broken hearts when he tells them he's gay. He likes to play cards for fun, but doesn't drink or gamble with the others.
He was there when the titans broke through the wall and was horrifically scarred across his chest, with a smaller scar across his neck and face, putting him out of action for over a month and ruining his tattoos. He is one of the few people to have tattoos, covering his chest, arms and part of his legs, but covered by uniform. He is muscular and attractive. He likes smaller, feminine men.
Wulf often talks with Hange about gender and ways they've found to cope. They find ways to get around feeling dysphoric. Being 6ft7 and broad, with an obviously male figure doesn't help, but he finds ways to feel more at home in his body, whichever gender he might be feeling.
