     Blue Pearl and Sapphire met during a ball thrown by Blue Diamond, they became pretty good friends during that time and would often try and see each other afterwards. During one ball they snuck off from the main room and danced with each other, eventually fusing into Sodalite for the first time. Fearing the consequences they fled, eventually finding a group of off-colour gems and staying with them.
