The bomb is a bob-omb. Yes, one of THOSE bob-ombs. Sue me.
He does not have a name, but identifies as male. In many ways, he's a video game protagonist in the wrong context. He has the demeanor of a hypercaffeinated child, but he isn't dumb- he is fully capable of making plans and schemes, making meaningful and lasting friendships, and other such things. It's just that he pursues it all with an irrepressible manic energy that never, ever diminishes.
The bomb is a steel sphere with a cap and fuse, filled with what is presumed to be gunpowder. His feet and his constantly-spinning windup key are aluminum. The eyes can change expression. But the catsmouth is painted on.
The bomb can light his own fuse and detonate himself. Despite all physical laws, this does not cause him any actual harm (he refers to it as 'explosion safety' and refuses to elaborate on the grounds that it is 'boring'). He is also capable of running, smacking things with his face, and even jumping. His ability to run and jump is tied to his feet, his windup key is involved with his ability to explode, and his fuse can be switched out for utility reasons. He refers to these as 'equipment'. He also has a respawn mechanic for when he is killed. It is exactly as stupid as it sounds.
The bomb is best friends with a mercantile stick figure. It's complicated.
