At first glance, Atlas appears to be a shy individual who is in a seemingly constant state of being cold and upset. He chooses not to engage in or contribute greatly to most activities, giving people the impression he prefers being alone. Despite this general sadness Atlas conveys, bystanders have noticed that he gives off a merrier impression when they see him with his friends. He seems more open and confident, likely done to match his friends.
Although he'll never admit it, Atlas is very dependent on others around him, he needs people to actively include and reassure him. He is very sensitive, although being so contradicts with his fear of being effeminate. He hates directly asking for help or attention, and prefers if people would notice his emotions rather than make him admit them verbally. He tends to undermine his worth and act humble for the reassurance of others.
Internally, Atlas feels desperate and alone. He wholeheartedly expects his friends to comfort him when he needs it, but doesn't put much effort into reciprocating this care. He feels as if he deserves more than he gets, and genuinely expects to be a top priority of others without having to return it or express immense gratitude for it. He knows he should requite care for his friends, and does as a formality, but still believes he deserves more than what's given.
