A seeker of the Sun, perpetually lost in every star but the one he was born to follow. X'ara was born into a family of seekers who wanted nothing with the stars above other than the one that gave them warmth and light. The miqo'te enjoyed the fascinating imagery the night provided instead, mapping and studying individual stars as well as entire constellations, picking up on the delicate art of astrology from a young age.

Having rebelled against his family standards, X'ara left home at a relatively young age, still in his teens, and pursued a life of travel and discovery as an adventurer. He traveled Eorzea, mapping the night sky from different spots in the world. Nowadays, his travels are few and far between and he instead prefers a calmer lifestyle, close to the safety of his own home.

X'ara owns a small house in the Goblet where which he shares with Rhaegar, his best friend. While he still enjoys traveling, nowadays he spends most of his time indoors where he researches astrology and astronomy both. His work often keeps him awake at night and as such he doesn't get to see the light of day much and when he does, he's typically quite tired because he's already been up all night.

Occasionally, people call upon X'ara for odd jobs - apart from being a skilled researcher of the night sky, he is also a healer for hire. He doesn't mind taking on these random, smaller jobs because his usual work keeps him stationary and he doesn't really enjoy being idle. As a healer, X'ara is skilled and proficient, doing his job very well, however he's also perhaps a little too honest with his patients and will tell people off for being reckless and injuring themselves.
