ᴡɪsᴛᴇʀɪᴀ

Wisteria is a young girl who has been blind since birth. Her eyes are a cloudy almost purple color, which is how her mother decided on her name. Sometimes her parents call her Teri for short, but she really hates that. Though she was diagnosed with total blindness as a baby, around the age of six she started to claim she could see cloudy shapes that looked like people. She tried to point them out, but there was never anything there. After a while her parents became very concerned and took her to doctors and therapists. Eventually it was just diagnosed as an overactive imagination, as Wisteria's mind tried to imagine what it would be like to see. As she got older, the blurs started to become a bit clearer, but Wisteria doesn't talk about them any more. It's not until she admits this to her (also blind) aunt that she is told what she's seeing are spirits. 

Wisteria respects her parents very much, but doesn't feel like she can be open with them about anything, due to them constantly telling her that things are "just her imagination". She loves the cologne her papa wears, and hates when he smokes cigars. She doesn't like her mom's perfume because it smells like plastic, but she loves the sound of her high heels when she walks through the tile house. Wisteria is very close to her Aunt Chloe, who was also born blind. They get along like two peas in a pod, and Wisteria absolutely adores Grumps, her Aunt's service dog.
