About

WIP. This grem has definitely gone through a lot in its days, losing their limbs to fights with other sea creatures, or getting them caught within stray garbage. They are a very shy grem that keeps to them self in fear of being hurt by others.

PERSONALITY

Lethargic ◆ Capricious ◆ Skittish ◆ Blithe ◆ Tenderhearted ◆ Snoopy
WIP. Meek. Very mellow. Cries sometimes. Huge appetite. Sleep very little, feels miserable oversleeping. Might seem like emotions have departed her, but a smile will sluggishly slip on her face when she finds anyone of pleasant personality. She can sensitive on her density, slightly wilting at accusations of laziness in listening. While seemingly fragile, she is accustomed to struggling against various dangers of the ocean, and won’t shy away from a physical fight to protect herself. Even scuffled with other mantas.

JOB / HOBBIES

WIP. No longer under employment or ownership. Drifts around her island home, enjoying her prematurely earned retirement. Her favorite spot is a lagoon — teeming with life — that bubbles over with foam during the high tide where water is pushed over the thin line of rocks fencing it off from the ocean.

HISTORY

WIP. Started off working alongside a crew of contractors on a massive dredge, along an ocean coastline. She was complacent to her tasks, but often made dreary by the complicated routines she had to endure day to day. She was lax even being chewed out, but performed her best always went sent to the seafloor to inspect. The loud machinery always grated on her, and she would keep her ear flaps sealing off her hearing even above water to deal with the daily cacophony.

In a catastrophic occurrence, Millicent came in contact with the cutterhead of the dredge, losing her left arm — her right foot having to be amputated later due to kicking off the machine to save herself.

It took years to properly heal from, and even more years of physical therapy to manage enough functionality to return to work. She had become skittish around all the equipment, and hardly could remain on deck when the machinery was being operated — diving overboard often to alleviate her heightened stress. This ditching behavior and her increasingly uncooperative stance was met with much scolding from her captain and crewmates.

Eventually she abandoned her company entirely, fleeing into the sea. She made home around some distant islands, savoring the quiet. She’s panicked at times by boats passing through, but is far less intimidated by the engines than the heavy and powerful machinery of the dredge. She enjoys the fishermen and charter parties that drone by, often mingling if they are open to her company.

She now treasures the sealife she gets to witness. Most of her time working in the past, all fish were driven off by the noise and activity, and only the hardiest of crustaceans stuck around for her to enjoy.
