Anasa  lives a life of luxury; His sister is the next queen in line, his  brother is leader of the Lion Guard, all the while that leaves Anasa  with nothing. Unlike the princes' of the past, he doesn't mind! He  prefers it! He would much rather live his life at pride rock spoiled  beyond belief. Never has to hunt, not a threat to the pride and has no  job whatsoever. Life is perfect to Anasa, it's too much work to be a  guard member or royalty lessons. He's not a jerk but does tend to flaunt  his royal status too much as he's got a sharp tongue that can easily  manipulate the kingdom and other lions to do as he wishes.

It  wasn't until Nea's accident had Anasa ever lifted a paw to help. He  hates hearing the gossip among the Kingdom; 'this herd wanting Nea off  the throne' 'that herd saying his brother should rule' it drives him  crazy. Anasa uses his manipulative tongue to help bring back support for  his dear sister Nea, assuring at least some of the animals see how  worthy she is of being future queen.  It's thanks to Anasa and Kovu  their pride almost all agree she should stay on the throne.
